香港許願節是香港其中一個賀年活動,旅客可以在著名的許願樹前拋寶牒許願,或近距離欣賞欣賞剛在「國泰航空新春國際匯演之夜」巡遊之花車。
Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival, one of the most characteristic Chinese New Year celebrations in Hong Kong. You may experience the traditions by throwing placards onto the wishing tree or taking photo with the fabulous floats from the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade.
關於林村許願樹 :
About Lam Tsuen wishing tree :
林村許願樹是兩棵大榕樹。兩樹被林村村民視為神靈,並在每年農曆新年在榕樹根部燃點香蠟燭冥鏹祈褔許願。後來,人們製作寶牒,把姓名、出生年月日及願望寫在寶牒上繫上重物,在誠心參拜及許願後便將其拋上樹幹,不跌下來者代表願望可成真,反之亦然。
Lam Tsuen wishing tree is two banyan trees in a 700-year-old village in Tai Po. The villagers believe the trees was magical. Villagers throw the joss paper or placard with organes on the tree to make a wish, it was believed that if it successfully hung onto tree branches, the wishes would come true.

祈福蓮花燈 :
Wishing lanterns lighting :
流放許願蓮花燈是其中一項傳統祈福活動,將寫下願望的蓮花燈放在許願池裡隨水運轉,祈求來年事事順利,順風順水。
One of the traditional activities inHong Kong Well-wishing Festival is to set the wishing lanterns. Based on traditional custom, people write their wishes on the wishing lanterns and then put them into the wishing pool for best fortune in the coming years.

愛侶可將寫兩人名字在特製鎖上寫上並扣於鐵桿上,象徵愛侶之間的承諾。
To symbolize a love commitment towards each other,lovers write their names on padlocks and affix them on the fences.

在港鐵大埔墟站搭乘64K號巴士至放馬莆(林村許願樹)下車。
